Carex is partnering with a HealthTech industry partner to hire a Technical Business Analyst!
Summary
The Technical Business Analyst will collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, and developers to define and deliver value-driven IT solutions. This role is responsible for capturing and translating business requirements into functional specifications, writing and grooming user stories, and ensuring solutions align with business needs. The Technical Business Analyst plays a key role in bridging communication between technical and non-technical teams, supporting design reviews, testing, and process improvements. This is a contract role, and will be onsite several days a week in Madison, WI.
What You’ll Do

Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners to understand and address IT needs.

Gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional requirements and user stories.

Participate in backlog management, defining acceptance criteria, and validating completed work against stakeholder expectations.

Conduct design reviews and walk-throughs to communicate requirements and verify solutions.

Support testing activities including test plan creation, execution, and user acceptance testing.

Provide systems and application support, assisting with data and system triage as needed.

Monitor program performance after implementation and proactively recommend process improvements.

Collaborate with external vendors to deliver solutions and conduct compatibility testing.

Apply strong analytical, prioritization, and organizational skills to recommend solutions and assess risks.

Communicate regularly with cross-functional project teams regarding status, risks, and issues.

Promote efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement within evolving environments.
What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or High School Diploma/GED and 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

2+ years of professional experience as a business analyst, quality analyst, product owner, or similar role.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence outcomes across teams.

Experience writing user stories, functional specifications, and conducting testing.

Ability to adapt to change, work in ambiguous environments, and manage competing priorities.

Preferred: Experience on Agile development teams and with technology-focused projects.
