Carex is partnering with a financial industry partner to find a highly skilled and analytical Technical Business Analyst to lead enterprise software evaluation and implementation initiatives. This role is ideal for a systems-minded professional with a deep understanding of workflow tracking, project portfolio management, financial planning tools, strategic alignment platforms, and OKR frameworks. The successful candidate will collaborate across departments to evaluate, select, and implement technology solutions that align business operations with strategic objectives.
What You’ll Do

Conduct market research and comparative analysis of enterprise tools supporting project/portfolio management, FP&A, organizational design, OKRs, and strategy execution.

Partner with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, HR, Product, and Leadership to gather functional and non-functional requirements.

Develop evaluation scorecards, proof-of-concept scenarios, and detailed RFP/RFQ documentation for vendor selection.

Lead vendor evaluations, including technical deep-dives into architecture, scalability, integration, and security features.

Present tool recommendations to senior leadership, with thorough analysis of trade-offs, cost-benefit assessments, and alignment to strategic goals.

Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into actionable technical deliverables.

Document current-state and future-state workflows, creating user stories, process flows, use cases, and data models.

Assess tools for their ability to support OKR tracking and strategic execution, ensuring alignment across operational teams.

Evaluate financial integration capabilities to support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance needs in collaboration with finance teams.

Analyze team collaboration patterns and work distribution to identify tools that improve cross-functional alignment, capacity planning, and dependency management.

Support implementation planning, change management, and tool adoption strategies to maximize value delivery.
What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.

5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or Solutions Consultant, with a focus on enterprise software tools.

Proven experience evaluating and implementing systems for workflow/project tracking (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira), PPM (e.g., Smartsheet), strategy execution, and OKR management.

Familiarity with FP&A platforms, budgeting tools, and ERP integrations (e.g., Workday).

Ability to conduct needs assessments and create technical documentation that drives alignment and implementation.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and executive presentation skills.

Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) preferred.

Preferred certifications: CBAP, CCBA, PMP, or CSM.

Bonus: Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), integration technologies (APIs, ETL), and security/privacy principles.
