Carex is partnering with a financial industry partner to hire a VP – Deposit & Payment Operations.

Summary

The VP – Deposit & Payment Operations will lead and manage the Account Review and Research & Adjustments teams, playing a pivotal role in overseeing all functions related to deposit and payment operations. This includes Wires, ACH, Research, Adjustments, New Account Processing, Account Maintenance, Transaction Monitoring, and related areas. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a strong background in operational efficiency, compliance, and cross-departmental collaboration.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee and ensure the effective daily operations of all assigned deposit and payment functions, maintaining exceptional service quality.

  • Lead ACH and Wire operations teams to ensure timely, accurate processing in accordance with regulatory standards and internal policies.

  • Continuously assess and refine departmental workflows, systems, and procedures to optimize efficiency and customer service.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices to minimize operational risks.

  • Partner with IT, Compliance, Branch Operations, and Customer Service teams to resolve operational issues and enhance service capabilities.

  • Provide hands-on leadership, mentoring, and development opportunities for team members to support professional growth and performance excellence.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).

  • At least 3 years of progressive leadership experience in deposit and/or payment operations within banking or financial services.

  • Demonstrated success in leading operational teams, including coaching and performance management.

  • Strong expertise in ACH, Wire transfers, account servicing, and transaction monitoring.

  • Deep understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks applicable to deposit operations.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities with strong decision-making skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster collaboration across departments.

  • Agility and adaptability in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
