You'll also be trained on Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM) and STAT testing for local clinics and hospitals.
The Forensic Screens Technologist conducts qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses within a SAMHSA-certified drug testing lab and CAP and CLIA-certified clinical laboratory that includes:
- Receiving urine, oral fluid, and blood specimens for testing; evaluate specimens and test orders; determine priority of work and batches to maintain acceptable turn-around-time
- Work with immunoassays including ELISA; interpret data and test results
- Evaluate raw and final data for accuracy; recognize and correct errors and unusual results; interpret results to produce a final report

What you’ll do:
- Provide technical coordination and design leadership for development efforts by integrating business processes and technologies such as browser-based applications, relational databases, information security, core claim processing system, and other systems as required. What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science software engineering or related fields.
- 6+ years of experience in a combination of application design, business analysis, technical leadership, or hands-on technology implementation.
- 2+ years of project management experience, preferably on high-visibility projects.
- Prior experience as a technical lead and cross functional application integration is preferred.
- Advanced computer skills – fluency in Microsoft Visio and project management tools

- Demonstrated ability to grasp the “big picture” with the ability to road map projects.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The Controlled Substance Scientific Program Manager is responsible for the implementation of an emerging Controlled Substance program to ensure compliant manufacturing and distribution of clinically relevant psychedelic medicines. This role will provide subject matter guidance in the development of processes and procedures to uphold regulatory requirements and best practices. DEA regulated business activities include research, development, analysis, and API and drug product manufacturing at multiple registered locations including a correlated non-profit Institute.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the performance of the controlled substance program to understand and mitigate compliance risk. Communicates with cross-functional stakeholders and proposes improvements to the program.
- Work in close partnership with site leadership, QA/RA, Logistics, Manufacturing, and lab staff, providing technical guidance and support with activities involving with controlled substances.
- Write and maintain procedures and forms related to controlled substances.
- Develop and deliver training to employees.
- Manage registration applications and renewals for all Federal DEA Registrations and State licensures.
- Ensure security and access procedures and policies are adequate and maintained.
- Coordinate and manage processes and documentation required for movement and transfers of controlled substances throughout manufacturing and operations.
- Manage inventory reconciliation processes for all controlled substances at the registered sites. Responsible for investigating all inventory discrepancies of controlled substances. Leads investigations into the loss or theft of controlled substances.
- Review manufacturing batch records and other cGMP documentation related to controlled substances as required.
- Complete quarterly ARCOS, biennial, and year-end inventory reports for controlled substances as required by the DEA.
- Develop and maintain all documents required for DEA quota applications, approvals, tracking, and amendments.
- Execute, file, track, and audit DEA Form 222 order forms for both procurement and supply activities.
- In coordination with logistics, complete DEA import and export permit applications via the DEA IMEX portal.
- Conduct internal audits, following up on findings and corrective actions.
- Lead external DEA inspections, interfacing with governmental agencies such as federal and state DEA representatives.
- Coordinate the destruction activities for all controlled substances with lab staff, QA, EH&S, and Logistics and approve destruction methods in accordance with DEA requirements.
- Maintain proper record keeping.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

The Laboratory Team is is seeking a science professional that has initial experience in clinical lab testing and is looking to expand their knowledge and background and work in a fast-paced environment performing testing on patient samples.
The Technologist conducts qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses within a SAMHSA-certified drug testing lab and CAP and CLIA-certified clinical laboratory that includes:
- Receive extracted specimens for testing; evaluate batches and test orders; determine priority of work for these batches in order to maintain acceptable turn around time
- This position requires large amounts of daily electronic data analysis, done on computer stations outside of the laboratory
- Recognize unacceptable and unusual specimen(s) within a batch or within a set of Hamilton Deck Mates (4 batches) and handle appropriately.
- Adhere to SOP while performing data analysis on patient and proficiency samples as well as calibration, quality control and blank samples
- Evaluate raw and final data for accuracy; recognize and correct errors and unusual results; interpret results to produce a final report.
- Follow quality control rules; monitor controls / calibration for error detection within batch along with trends within QC sets of an assay and take appropriate corrective action as needed.
- Maintain, calibrate and clean instrumentation / work area; perform scheduled/routine maintenance and critical function checks; recognize significant changes in instrument function; troubleshoot as indicated.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all laboratory tests and equipment including, but not limited to, instrument logs, maintenance logs, disinfection logs and assay SOPs.

What You'll Do:
The Sample Handling Assistant I works in a high volume environment and performs a vital component of clinical lab science essential for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. The Sample Handling Assistant role will include aspects such as:
- Prepare study materials prior to sample processing collection.
- Receive and process irreplaceable clinical trials specimens.
- Operate basic to moderately complex laboratory equipment to process samples and input data.

- Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.

What You'll Do:

- Screening of all liquid-based cytology, both manual and imaged, as well as conventional slides.
- Perform microscopic evaluation of cytological specimens following laboratory procedures and workload policies.
