Carex is partnering with a health tech partner to find a highly skilled Healthcare System Architect. This role is designed for a visionary professional eager to craft sophisticated architecture solutions that address the specific needs of the healthcare industry. Operating in a remote capacity, the successful candidate will play a critical role in enhancing patient care and operational efficiencies through innovative and compliant technology strategies. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills to oversee the integration of cutting-edge systems and data management solutions, ensuring a seamless and effective deployment across healthcare environments.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborating with healthcare providers, IT teams, and business leaders to create scalable solutions that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Ensuring the architecture complies with regulatory standards.
- Leading the strategy and execution of data integration with a focus on Epic systems, preparing for future integration with Cerner data.
- Working closely with CIOs or Principal Data Officers to align technical strategies and ensure successful implementation across the systems.
- Traveling up to 25% to client sites to establish and maintain project frameworks and relationships.
What You’ll Bring:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
- Work Experience:
- Minimum 8 years in EMR/EHR systems, with specific expertise in Epic.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS and Azure.
- Proficiency in integration tools such as Rhapsody and Redox.
- Familiarity with clinical data formats including SMART on FHIR, FHIR, HL7, DICOM, and Clarity.
- Epic Bridges Certification or equivalent Epic systems administrator certification (preferred).
- Programming skills in SQL and Python (preferred).
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Comprehensive knowledge of systems development life cycle (SDLC) and specific challenges in healthcare imaging systems.
- Expertise in Epic and non-Epic applications, clinical data integration, and interoperability standards.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive consensus and articulate technical strategies and trade-offs.
- Experience in planning and leading complex, innovative healthcare IT (HIT) projects.
