Carex’s partner is looking for a Merchandising Leader.  By collaborating with executive leaders, product managers, and marketing subject matter experts you will create category-specific engagements, landing pages, product recommendations, and solution-oriented experiences. You will leverage your merchandising expertise to enhance customer engagement and drive revenue.

Essential Duties:
Merchandising Strategy

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and product management to develop and execute merchandising strategies (digital and print) aligned with the company business goals
  • 70% Strategy Development/ 30% Execution
  • Curate and manage the presentation of products across all channels (digital and print), ensuring optimal placement, storytelling, visual appeal, and user-friendliness
  • Utilize analytics and sales data to monitor product performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement in sales, conversion rates, AOV, items per order, and customer engagement
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to propose innovative ideas for enhancing the customer shopping experience

E-Commerce Customer Experience

  • Manage product detail page development and content strategies (images, video, copy, style/SKU management) based on product sell-through and other factors
  • Identify, prioritize, and oversee the implementation of e-commerce projects that support merchandising strategies, including project definition, scope, deliverables, timelines, Q/A testing, and post-implementation monitoring in partnership with the E-commerce Director
  • Manage product categorization as it relates to onsite search rankings and relevancy, sorting and filtering, and SEO content optimization to enable efficient and accurate product discovery for customers
  • Translate new items and collections — focusing on proprietary products — to online experiences, ensuring a cohesive customer experience from homepage to the shopping cart

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Contribute and support the development of customer journeys, the e-commerce roadmap, and conversion rate optimization
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance the customer experience through creating efficiencies and continuous improvement

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of experience leading merchandising, e-commerce,  and digital marketing strategies

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in data analysis and the ability to draw actionable insights from web metrics
  • Proficiencies with SEO principles and their application in enhancing online visibility
  • Creative mindset with an eye for design, layout, and visual storytelling
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Proven experience in creating and presenting strategies to influence executive leadership
  • Capable of working collaboratively in a cross-functional team
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
