We're looking for an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to join a great team onsite in New Richmond, WI (approximately 40 miles from Minneapolis). This position will serve as the site EHS leader, and be responsible for guiding the facility, as well as helping guide a facility in Michigan, in its EH&S program. This role doesn't confine you to your office – collaborate directly with leadership and be able to make a significant impact:

The compensation range for this position is anticipated to be approximately $70,000 – $105,000 annually, dependent upon experience. Full benefits are included. If the range doesn't align with your needs, please still apply to be considered for similar opportunities!

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the implementation of corporate safety and environmental, as well as equivalent site-specific programs, including managing documentation to support programs.
  • Manage environmental permits, reports, forms and surveys according to regulatory and company policies and procedures, ensuring they are done in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop site-specific EHS programs, policies, procedures and training materials.
  • Manage required safety and and environmental training programs for the facility and colleagues throughout, including conducting training.
  • Assure compliance with various governmental record-keeping requirements, as well as company metrics, and communicate results to corporate, as well as the site leadership team.
  • Assist and guide the site with governmental agency interface.
  • Assure coordinated case management for all work-related injuries and illnesses through the implementation of Return-to-Work Programs.
  • Guide and manage the facilities in the progression of various benchmarking programs that include the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP), International Standards Organization (ISO 14001, 18001), EPA Energy Star, as well as others.
  • Manage and coordinate safety and environmental consultants, as well as outside contractors, in conjunction with facility leadership.
  • Manage and conduct tasks according to all Federal, State and Local regulations, as well as company Quality, Safety, Health, Environmental and Energy policies and procedures.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Occupational Health or an identical degree. Equivalent experience in fields of Safety, Health, or Environmental Sciences will be considered.
  • At least 1+ year(s) of experience in all three areas of Environmental, Health, and Safety programs.

Ideal (but not Required) Experience:

  • Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional Certification.
